Sameera Reddy was to perform on New Year’s Eve at the Bandra Reclamation in Mumbai but headed out to Goa with friends apparently leaving the organisers in the lurch.
She suddenly took off to Goa on December 28 and was spotted partying on the 31st. A friend of the actress, explains, “It’s not true. A protest rally was held in Mumbai last Saturday and so, getting certain permissions were an issue. Besides, Sam hadn’t been paid for the event. Also because of lack of permissions, the event was cancelled.” Sameera adds, “I had offers to perform in Dubai, Delhi and Chandigarh but chose Mumbai to be close to my family. It’s sad that the organisers weren’t given the required permissions.”
